Hello, TSMS 8th graders!

Hi there! How are you? We hope this email finds you well.

Julie and I have been texting back and forth a lot lately about all of the changes our community is facing. It’s a lot to take in and deal with and we bet you’re as curious as we are about what school will look like the next few weeks.

Teachers will be meeting this week to plan and discuss online learning. We’ll have official assignments online a week from today (the 23rd). If you’re looking for something to fill the time and/or keep your brain in math mode, we’ve gathered some optional math work or you. Again, this is all OPTIONAL, so we won’t be putting anything in Jumprope (well, maybe some extension credit, you know I can’t resist extra effort points!).

Here are your options:

Delta Math -
We’ve posted two optional review assignments (Mild/Medium And Medium/Spicy). Feel free to do one or both! Go to deltamath.com and use your TSMS email address to login. The password is deltamath123.

Legends of Learning -
This site has a lot of different math games. Right now we've got one set of games up and running - all on the topic of slope. You can access our playlist at login.legendsoflearning.com and use teacher code SHIUNI1. Have fun!

Prodigy -
Have you played Prodigy before? It's fun. Yes, it's math, but it's combined in a game format where you are a wizard and you travel through magical worlds and battle other wizards with math. OK, it's more fun than it sounds. Want to try it? go to prodigygame.com/play and enter class code BF27A9. Use your TSMS email to create an account and have fun!
